Well it has been a while since I wrote a blog as I’ve been crazy busy - when you read on you’ll understand why…
In the last blog I was on my way to tackle Ben Nevis with a bruised fib, the good news is I did it! It took a long 9 hours and the pain at times was intense but I was determined to get all three of the UK’s highest mountains climbed within a year with my family 💪🏻⛰
Lots of ice helped the recovery!
Not much rest on our return with my youngest’s birthday 🥳 celebrations and my eldest leaving Primary School. However, we managed to run a HUGE football festival for my grassroots club (AFC Urmston Meadowside) with 28 teams competing for a plate and a cup. The weather was kind and atmosphere was brilliant.
We through our end of season parties for our Meds U8’s and U11’s, which included trophies, pizza, ice cream, photo booths, escape room tasks and dancing! Love these celebrations as we can all reflect back on the season and see how much the footballers have grown in confidence, ability and height!
Happy to have ran the ‘Beat the Goalie’ at our local school fair with the Kick it 4 Kids coaches taking over 240 shots at them in glorious weather ☀️ 🥅 Helping to raise funds for the school and continue my work as a PTA member.
Big news - I’ve taken on a new role as Head of Girls for Coach Right UK, with an aim to work in partnership to get girls more football in Manchester! Exciting times ahead and loved being involved at the Fives Trafford’s Girls only camp this summer.
All this whilst attending the WEuro matches and supporting our lionesses both live and on the box. So proud of them all what an amazing group of women!! Absolutely inspiring stuff ❤️
Plus of course running our Kick it 4 Kids football classes - check out these superstars!
Finally, I won not only the Grassroots Manchester Coach of the Year for youth but the NATIONAL award as well… I’m absolutely thrilled and honoured to represent Manchester and women in football (more on this special day to follow!).
If you read all that I thank you as it was a busy few months.
